If you have been following my recent updates, you know I have been hard at work on a new sci-fi tetralogy originally titled The Chosen of the North. Today, I am excited to share some major news: the series has officially been rebranded to The Gardener of the North.
Why the Change?
Naming a book—let alone a four-part series—is a delicate balancing act. As the manuscript evolved, it became clear that the original branding was not fully representing the soul of the story. The speculative, hard science fiction elements and the overarching themes had outgrown the old title.
Rebranding to The Gardener of the North ensures that the series signals exactly what it is to the right readers. It is a promise to deliver the exact kind of story you are showing up to read.
Introducing Book 1: The Gardener’s Awakening
With this new series title comes the official name for the first book of the tetralogy: The Gardener’s Awakening. This novel will serve as your entry point into the main series, kicking off the larger narrative arc that will unfold across all four books.
A Special Addition: The Gardener’s Foundation
Alongside the tetralogy, I am also thrilled to announce a separate, standalone book titled The Gardener’s Foundation.
While technically not part of the four-book tetralogy, this standalone novel is an essential piece of the puzzle. It explores Adaugo and Nonso’s life as they arrive in Canada, laying the crucial groundwork for everything that follows in the main series. If you want to understand the roots of the world and the deep, character-driven history that sets the stage for The Gardener’s Awakening, this book is for you.
